Where to Find the Full Terms
Most promo pages feature a big headline -- "100 Free Spins!" -- then a link in small text at the bottom reading "Full Terms and Conditions." This link is usually the place where the real terms can be found. It's imperative to click here before taking any bonus.

The Eight Clauses That Actually Matter
1. Wagering requirement
The wagering (or rollover). This is the number of times you need to bet before winnings can be cashed out. Written as 25x, 40x, etc. The most important detail is what it applies to: your winnings, the bonus amount or the deposit + bonus. "Wagering on winnings" is the most player-friendly option. The phrase "wagering applies to bonus winnings" or "rollover on spin winnings." Anything that references the "bonus amount" or "deposit + bonus" is more restrictive.
2. Bonus expiry and time limits
There are often two separate expiry periods to keep an eye on: one for using the spins and one for completing the wagering requirement after using them. They are usually different. E.g. "spins must be used within 24 hours of being credited; wagering must be completed within 7 days of first spin use."
The timer can start from account registration, first login, or first bonus activation. Read carefully -- "24 hours from registration" when you register on Monday evening is not as generous as it sounds.
3. Maximum cashout / withdrawal cap
Many terms feature a cap on how much you can withdraw from your bonus winnings. Even if you rack up massive winnings and wager them all successfully, you can only withdraw this set amount. The standard language is something like "maximum withdrawal from bonus winnings is €50". The excess is deducted from your account when you try to withdraw.
This is genuinely valuable! Look for "no maximum withdrawal" or similar language. It's worth hunting for -- especially if you're considering a high-count no deposit offer.
4. Eligible games and slot restrictions
Free spins are almost always tied to one or a small number of specific games. You will not be able to use them on any other game -- the spins simply won't work. There's often a wider range of game eligibility during the wagering period though. Common exclusions include live dealer games, table games and video poker.
5. Maximum bet during bonus
One of the most consequential and least prominently displayed terms. Look for language indicating that "during an active bonus, maximum bet is X euro per spin/round". Exceeding this amount even once will trigger automatic busting of your bonuses. This will usually be in a wide industry-standard range of €1–€5.
Look for something like "Bets placed in excess of the maximum bet limit whilst a bonus is active will be deducted and any resulting bonus winnings forfeited". This means no mercy -- your bet will just be voided; no warning given.
6. Payment method restrictions
Many casinos exclude certain payment methods from being eligible for bonuses. The most commonly excluded methods are e-wallets: PayPal, Neteller and similar services. If you make a deposit using an excluded method, you will not receive a bonus. Be warned -- most casinos do not warn you at deposit time.
Look for something like "Deposits via [payment method] do not qualify for this promotion" or a list of qualifying payment methods.
7. Multiple bonus restrictions
